Lottery funds help regenerate

Hopefully there will be queuing at the door of Rye Museum in East Street for their Midsummer Fete.

In her newsletter this week, Rye MP Amber Rudd has revealed that her Hastings and Rye Constituency has received more than £30 million of funding from the lottery and Coastal Communities funds. The majority has gone to regeneration projects in Hastings but, in Rye, the Museum, with its two sites at East Street and Ypres Castle (both a must-visit for tourists and residents alike), has benefited from lottery largesse. Perhaps the Landgate might be a future beneficiary, writes John Minter.
