Meet with Southern Railway

Following our article last week, Marsh Link Action Group have asked us to remind readers of the open meeting with Southern next week. If you want to make your voice heard and have views about the service train company are providing, you need to be there:

Southern Railway representatives will be at Rye Town Hall on 29th November to discuss the rail service since the introduction of the new timetable last May, changes planned for December and future considerations. There will be ample time available for questions from attendees.

Representing Southern will be:
– Phil Hutchinson (Govia’s Head of Strategic Planning) – Phil has a particular knowledge of timetabling issues: he spoke at MLAG’s post AGM meeting earlier this year to introduce the May 2018 timetable and is well placed to speak about how the new timetable is operating;
– Andy Leister (Govia’s Head of Stations) – MLAG members have reported some issues with stations and we trust Andy will be able to address those.

There will also be additional presentations on:
– the survey MLAG instigated in May to seek passenger views; and
– a current overview of the proposed Javelin project to bring the direct service to the MarshLink.

The meeting will start at 7:15pm on Thursday, November 29 at Rye Town Hall.
