The Mermaid Inn has raised £1485 in the last month for the National Deaf Children’s Society. Boxing Day and New Year Raffles raised £1000. During the recent planned closure for maintenance, owner Judith Blincow conducted tours of the Mermaid’s secret passageways, Priest Hole, Norman Cellars and the feature bedrooms. Donations from these Tours amounted to £485.

Owner Georgina Kite’s daughter, Elizabeth Kite, who is featured in the picture and the whole family have benefited from the support of the National Deaf Children’s Society, which has the visions and values reflecting the fact it is a parents’ organisation, dedicated to the needs of all deaf children, their families and carers.

The National Deaf Children’s Society is the leading charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. It provides a seamless service supporting families with deaf children from birth to the age of 25.
