COMMUNITY GARDEN

Primary school children have harvested their pumpkins for hardening off before carving them in time for Hallowe’en next Monday, October 31 and eight monsters were grown in the Community Garden. The next work sessions in the garden are next Tuesday, November 1 followed by November 12, 15 and 26 and all volunteers are welcome.

The next special event will be willow weaving on Saturday, November 12 between 11:30am and 1:30pm. The aim is to create a screening panel along the rear elevation of the gazebo to provide some privacy from Love Lane. Volunteers will be using willow from the willow copse in the garden in two teams, those cutting and stripping the willow and those weaving, switching over at half-time.
