The Rye Deli baking team are coming together this Saturday, April 9 to raise money for the Ukrainian refugee fund – and in a way that not only raises money but tickles the taste buds of their many clients.

Chefs Tamzin Sundaram and Liz Wood will be baking delicious cookies, scones, and savouries that will be on sale from 11am until stocks run out.

The whole team will be selling these culinary delights at the popular shop on Market Road, with all proceeds being donated to help the people of Ukraine.

Owner Dezi Dalton said: “We are certain the community of Rye will come together, as it always does, to make a difference to those who need our help.”

Among the delights on offer will be classic fruit scones, stilton and walnut, goats cheese and caramelized onion, and brie and bacon scones. Chocolate and coconut cookies will cater to those with a sweeter tooth.

As always, all these delicacies will be baked fresh on the day, so why not pop along and enjoy what’s on offer? It’s all for a great cause, and you can also buy enough for the freezer to enjoy another day!
