Congratulations but . . .

I was interested to read that the new Citizens Advice Bureau chief is to be Tracy Dighton who has played a leading part in the last year in the new group, the Campaign for Action in Rye (CFAiR).

Readers of Rye News will recall that this new organisation took over the reins in February 2015 from the Campaign for a Democratic Rye (CDR) which group was dissolved having decided it needed a new approach.

Whilst I must wish Tracy well and congratulate her on her new role, I do wonder whether she will have the time to continue her valuable role in guiding the group in its quest to “making the town of Rye a more attractive place to live in and visit”(one of its core values) as there seems to be so much that requires attention  – not least the ever chaotic car parking problem and litter in the town.
