Travelling Trends, the fund-raising fashion show organisers, welcomed over 40 guests to a show at Bilsington Village Hall last Tuesday (Sept 17). Organised by Lesley Perk of the Village Hall Committee, the event was a fund raiser to help finance a new floor for the village hall.

Volunteer models strut their stuff

Featuring current and upcoming ranges from major High Street stores and individual boutiques, the collections follow the seasons and contain classic and fashionable lines to suit ladies of all ages.

Four volunteer models showcased the garments to an enthusiastic audience who later had the opportunity to browse and buy the styles on show with savings of up to 90 per cent on the retail prices.

Elaine Gray, the south east representative for Travelling Trends said: “These events are becoming very popular. We help organise over 100 shows in the South East each year, raising money for all kinds of charities and causes. Funds are raised by ticket sales, raffles and refreshments, and a commission on any sales we make at events with over 40 people”.

With amazing discounts, the clothes are eagerly examined after the show by the audience
