On Tuesday, August 16 from 2pm to 4pm Rye Castle Museum, East Street is holding a children’s art and craft afternoon, with a medieval theme.

Come along and take part in the fun and creative activities. You can design and create a colourful stained glass suncatcher using tissue paper or cellophane. Or maybe you would like to choose the initial letter of your name and design an illuminated manuscript letter of it?

As August 16 is national Tell a Joke day, you can also make a jester’s hat and even think up some jokes to tell the family!

And to celebrate the fantastic victory of the Lionesses at the Women’s Euros, there will be the opportunity to draw the three lions or recreate the Cinque Ports flag with its three lions and three boats.

The cost is £2.50 for each child and accompanying adult and will be held at the 3 East Street site of the museum.
