“Tonight, the Super Trouper lights are gonna find me
Shining like the sun (Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
Smiling, having fun (Sup-p-per Troup-p-per)
Feeling like a number one.”

Mamma Mia sing along

All those who attended the Rye Bonfire Society’s fundraiser Mamma Mia sing along at the community centre on Friday, January 12 felt like number one, like dancing queens and super troupers. It was a great start to the year-long fundraising activities of the society. They need to raise over £20,000 and they need your support throughout the year.

There were many great 70s costumes in the room and lots of people just wanting to have fun. Everyone sang along and, to be honest, subtitles were not really needed as everyone seemed to know the words. The pictures tell the story of what fun it was and later this year, on Friday, March 15, you can join them again to sing along to Mamma Mia Here We Go Again.

A shout out to Nigel who sorted out the loudspeakers when they decided to be wayward.

Another event to look out for is The Ultimate Eurovision Party on Saturday May 11 at The Mermaid.

These events will posted on social media nearer the time.
