Spanish favourite and celebrity chef José Pizarro will be hosting a pop-up event in collaboration with contemporary café, Whitehouse in Rye, East Sussex on Saturday, November 24.

The one-day only pop up event will see locals enjoying the best Spanish tapas, ham and sherry that José has become renowned for in his London restaurants.

The collaboration was fate, as José stumbled upon Whitehouse whilst visiting Rye with friends. Head chef and renowned baker Rosie Bates’ love for quality and fresh ingredients instantly piqued José’s interest and a great friendship was formed.

“I visited Whitehouse by chance during our stay in Rye. Once I met Rosie and heard that there was an opportunity for a collaboration in this beautiful town I jumped at the chance,” says José.

Rosie is equally as thrilled to have José entertain Ryers for this special occasion. “I was elated to hear that José wanted to visit again and offer locals a taste of Spain here at Whitehouse. We are so excited to have him and his team create something special that will surely be a night to remember.”

Guests will savour all the best dishes from Spain, including Jamón Ibérico, croquetas, lamb stew and delectable Spanish-style French toast with caramelized almonds and whipped cream.

To book tickets for the pop-up event customers can email info@whitehouserye.co.uk.

Whitehouse is located at 24 High Street, Rye, TN31 7JF.
