Looking out of the window on a wet Monday morning doesn’t exactly fill you with awe and wonderment, especially as, so rumour has it, we are in British Summer time. Really?

Last Sunday was more like it: blue skies, sunshine and a gentle breeze, just the job for drying the washing outside and an excuse to have a drive around our amazing countryside. Which is exactly what I did and, armed with my phone camera, I took these photos to capture the moment – after all, sunny days are a bit of a rarity at the moment so it’s worth capturing a few images as a pleasant reminder for when the rain next appears.

If you have any sunny summer photos you would like to share, do send them in to info@ryenews.org.uk and we will endeavour to publish as many as possible and if we get a good response Rye News could present a trophy for the best image. So, over to you and we look forward to receiving your best shots.

What a location!
