The owner and man behind the fantasy is Olly McNeil, who started his professional career in creating props for film and theatre and as a scenery creator.

For the past 13 years he’s been crafting and taking magical and fantasy photographic portraits of the general public and more famous faces in his various studios formerly in Hastings old town and Bodiam.

His move to Rye was partly to develop a more immersive space for the portraits but also to produce very special theatrical interactive storytelling shows as well as other creations with his many entertainment contacts.14956540_1515166501830624_8789118277028603672_n

The parlour theatre has already hosted the internationally recognised mentalism master “The Jack” and this month hosts the man who fooled Stephen Hawking and professor Brian Cox, David Zambuka. This is part of a special monthly magic night.

This December the Theatre of Wonder will be performing the fourth in its immersive family adventure show, Legend Quests “The Wizards Tower”.

These shows are a mixture of storytelling, magic, effects and role-playing. The action takes the audience of no more than 20 people back to the year 1750, but in a world where the Brothers Grimm stories are true.

To find out more or to book a tickets you can call Oliver on 01797 222942 or request contact on his Facebook profile Olly Mc (some events are by invitation only and guests must join his private list to get in).
