1st Rye Scouts and Explorers have had a busy summer meeting fellow scouts from all over the world.

They attended the Kent International Jamboree at Detling on August 2-9, along with over 5000 other scouts and guides. The group got to participate in many new experiences including micro-lighting and driving, as well as learning about ways to protect the planet for the future.

Last week, the group welcomed scouts from France who are cycling to Brownsea Island. The French contingent enjoyed some British hospitality at 1st Rye’s hut, which included swapping scarves.
