Supermarket secret Santa

This year the colleagues at Jempson’s in Peasmarsh have once again decided to give back to those less fortunate than themselves by donating a present to Demelza House instead of doing their annual secret Santa.

Demelza House is a hospice for terminally ill children in Bexhill, not only do they provide respite care but they also care for the children in their own home causing as minimal disruption as possible to their everyday lives. The fantastic nurses work day and night to make sure every family is supported.

Jempson’s are a strong believers in supporting the local community, donating to the local food bank and donating Christmas hampers to local care homes, but children are the heart of Christmas.

During the lockdown of Christmas 2020, the store colleagues gave up their secret Santa and instead raised over 100 presents for the children’s ward at the Conquest Hospital and we aim to do it again for Demelza. It’s important for us that we play our part to make memories for their families for years to come that they can look back on. We would like to thank Melissa and all her team at Demelza for working so closely with us to make this a reality.

Father Christmas will be dropping in with the presents a week before Christmas.
