It was hard to imagine back in 2015, when Ashleigh Rowe and Sophie Homewood created the Dynasty Reign Allstars (DRA), that ten years later the cheerleading students and their coaches would return to the UK from the Allstar World Championships in Orlando, Florida bringing home three podium winners. Two local children, Disco from Rye and Belle from Camber are students at DRA.

Belle Caister-Coules is thirteen years old and lives in Camber. She went to one of the Dynasty Reign Allstars Cheer camps back in 2019 and from there not only did she fall in love with the sport but got offered a place on the team.

Last year Belle went to America with DRA competing in Moonstone (junior level 1) who were placed 4th in the world. The girls, parents and coaches were extremely proud when they received another bid to get the chance to go to America and do it all again. So they went back to the gym, training extra hard, which all paid off as they placed first in the semi-finals and first in the world for the finals. Belle’s highlight is always spending the time bonding with the team and having this amazing opportunity to bring home the number one title.

Disco Summers is fourteen years old and lives in Rye. She did gymnastics from an early age but grew out of it. Her parents set her a challenge last summer (2024) to find an extra curricular sport and she discovered Dynasty Reign Allstars in Hastings.

Her mother Wendy said: “She went for her trial weeks and qualified for two teams. Due to the training commitment she chose one team called Emerald. The thought of such an amazing trip to America to take part in Florida Allstar World Championships 2025 gave her a focus to aim for. Because of Disco’s gymnastics background, also being sporty and her love of dance, she slotted right in and fell in love with the sport. The club and team have been so welcoming to Disco and she absolutely loves it. She feels really at home and the coaches are so supportive of the girls and their ambitions! We are so very proud of her and the team. Disco’s team’s dedication paid off and they brought home a bronze.”

Dynasty Reign Allstars (DRA) is a cheerleading programme based in St Leonards-on-Sea. It began as a small, passionate team dedicated to providing local athletes with the opportunity to train and compete in the fast-growing sport of cheerleading. Over the years, DRA has grown into a thriving community of ninety-five members ranging from recreational athletes to high-level competitors. In 2023, DRA became a registered charity (CIO), further strengthening its mission to make cheerleading accessible to all young people, helping them develop not only athletic skills but also confidence, teamwork, and resilience.

The 2025 season saw DRA make history by qualifying three teams for the Allstar World Championships, one of the most prestigious events in the global cheerleading calendar. Facing fierce competition, each team rose to the occasion:

  • Moonstone (junior level 1) claimed the gold medal and world champion title in a field of forty other teams.
  • Opal (under 12 level 1) secured a stunning silver medal against over fifty teams.
  • Emerald (under 19 level 1) earned a hard-fought bronze medal.

Every single athlete returned home with a medal — an extraordinary achievement that showcases not only their athletic ability but also their dedication, discipline, and passion.
Dynasty Reign Allstars’ success in Orlando highlights the immense talent within the local community and represents years of hard work, volunteer support, and family commitment. As they look ahead to their next season, DRA continues to offer opportunities for young athletes to join, grow, and shine on the world stage.

Ashleigh Rowe, programme director said: “Watching the girls perform was such an honour. Their hours of dedicated training under the guidance of their amazing coaches paid off, and everyone came home with a medal. The ethos of the group is built on teamwork, perseverance and a relentless commitment to excellence, and each athlete supports every other, both on and off the mat. Their passion, resilience, and positive spirit were truly inspiring to witness.”
