Three very welcome visitors to Encompass Care last Friday, June 15,  were Amber Rudd MP, Cllr Michael Boyd the Mayor of Rye and Lord David Ampthill of RDC, they joined the group during the afternoon and joined in a game of Rumikub, They were delighted to see the Group happily settled in their new premises, and after lots of laughter and jokes, the members finally beat the guests, and won the game.
Irna Mortlock and Susan Millard who started up Encompass Care just eight weeks ago, told them that they are now meeting every Thursday and Friday from 10am until 4pm. They said that “It’s been a difficult time since the rapid closure of ARRCC, but we hope that we can make a fresh start and continue to carry out our ethos of enabling physically disabled adults to enjoy life, take up new pastimes, go on outings, learn new skills, all with our support.
We already have seven ex ARRCC clients and we have had great support from East Sussex County Council which is funding them, we’re looking to raise funds so as to be able to buy a second hand mini bus for our outings, and we have a crowd funding page linked to Facebook. Our website is due to go live this week, which together with our logo was very generously designed by Mark Baker of cratch.co.uk, so exciting times ahead for Encompass Care.”
