“It was brilliant as curtains closed,” she said. “All the kids said they would come back next year but only if I’m directing! That’s just the best feedback. It was amazing to see them grow in confidence and express themselves. Most drama groups don’t let young people have the space to be themselves.”

IPADS is full of talent she explained. “There are so many talented people and the whole team works really hard. It’s a lovely drama group that’s really inclusive.”
A recent change in university course has seen a move to creative writing, with a focus on scriptwriting. A big switch from studying fashion design. She’s inspired by her mother Robiane, and said, “She keeps pushing me to be the best I can be.”

Wonderland Rewritten is inspired by the Alice in Wonderland stories by Lewis Carroll. “It’s my favourite book but I always thought the ending where it all turns out to be a dream is a cop out. My version continues the adventure with lots of twists and turns.”
