ARRCC will be holding an Open Day and Creative Arts Exhibition at the Rye Creative Centre in New Road on Friday, August 7 from 12 – 5pm, writes Irna Mortlock. The exhibition of work by ARRCC members of the New Road Artists will be opened officially by the Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex Mr Peter Field at 1pm. This is also a wonderful opportunity for all the members, staff and volunteers from ARRCC (Activities, Respite, Rehabilitation Care Centres) in Rye, Bexhill and Folkestone to enjoy a day together. There will be stalls selling creative arts work made by the members, a display from 1066 Sports, and a grand raffle, with a first prize of a trip to a London theatre show and bed and breakfast in a four star hotel for two people. There will also be a bouncy castle, tug of war, barbecue, a licensed bar, live entertainment, free parking and there is disabled access.

Irna Mortlock is media and volunteer co-ordinator at ARRCC (Activities, Respite, Rehabilitation Care Centres)
