Creative centre gets creative

Rye Creative Centre has been significantly revamped into an excellent, interchangeable space for events and art exhibition by Martello Developments. Previously an audience enjoyed the music of the Bridgepoint quartet while at the moment there is a show by all the artists who rent studios in the building.

The way of displaying the art is very environmentally friendly, having built a wooden structure (still with its beautiful, natural looking markings) that is light and one can see through window-like openings to the other spaces, very clever. Well worth visiting for the eclectic art and inventive display. “MARGINS: Studio Summer Show” is open until August 20, – Monday-Wednesday 10am -4pm / Thursday-Sunday 10am – 6pm.

Also the site improvement includes a lovely garden for visitors to relax in, which can be visited throughout the week. It has a small bar selling drinks, light lunches and cakes. For further information go to the Rye Creative Centre website or phone 01797 229797.

Free admission, no booking needed.
