The Music Well in Rye is well aware that the beginning of the school holidays has rarely been such an anti-climax!  Many children have had limited access to school since March and many have been at home for the four-month period.

One of the Music Well professionals, Marian Ham, is offering free singing classes throughout the summer holiday to give children the chance to engage with others and learn some new songs.

Marian is a music teacher and retired headteacher who has kept abreast of the primary curriculum and she is planning to provide themed sessions which will be educational, fun and free. All children from year groups 1-6 are very welcome.

Marion has run an after-school singing club at Rye Primary school for the past year, but the offer is open to all children from all local schools. The details are as follows-

‘Zoom Children’s fun singing and music club’ every Monday at 4pm, for primary aged children, taking place now and throughout the summer holiday. Go into Zoom, click on join enter the id of 681 112 2425 and the password is 466165′.

For further information and copies of the song words please contact Marian Ham, on 07947 806712.

The Music Well is also offering adult singing, drumming, music appreciation and 1:1 music therapy sessions with one of our trained therapists. Covid-19 has affected everyone and some of our community are in need of support and what could be better than music?
