Resident artists of Rye Creative Centre, collectively known as “New Road Artists” and artists who have had studios here in the past, are exhibiting together in a group show, writes Sarah Money. Work includes a bronze sculpture by Stephanie Rubin, an intriguing telephone mutoscope by Daryl Balcombe, paintings by associate artists Peter Burgess and Danny Pockets among others, as well as prints, textiles and photographs which will make for a very exciting exhibition. Rye Creative Centre continues to flourish and grow, consistently attracting new talent. We have an exciting programme of events in place for the year ahead, the next being our June symposium on the theme of Fakes and Forgery, featuring speakers from home and abroad, each an expert in their own field. Artists’ studios will be open to the public over the weekend of May 16-17 between 10am and 3pm. For more information about our events and exhibitions please see www.ryecreativecentre.co.uk.
