Stirring it up

Brought up in Rye, Kevin Williams will be familiar to many from his days with 1970s local band TRUNK who were often seen performing on the Salts.

Later moving to London and forming Rye and the Quarter Boys, he returned to  Rye, entertaining many at the community centre and other venues over the years with his musical talents.

Also know for his acting skills in the past with Rye Players and his footballing skills – not to mention his cheeky chappy personality, there won’t be many established Ryers who don’t know Kevin!

Now there’s a chance to see him perform with his latest band, Rough Mix, on June 1 at 3pm at the Waterworks brewery taproom in Playden.

Come along and listen to them stirring it up with songs from Paul Simon to Sam Cooke and more, combining harmonies and guitar to deliver a soulful and original sound – let the good times roll!
