Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Operative

Part Time (8.30am to 4.30pm, Tuesday to Friday)

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a resourceful, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual at this local charity which provides a range of community health services.

The Buildings and Grounds Maintenance Operative will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and undertake a wide range of duties to support the upkeep and maintenance of the estate within the demise of Rye, Winchelsea & District Memorial Hospital Ltd.  This will include internal and external building fabric, maintenance of mechanical, electrical and water systems and equipment, and maintenance of the external grounds.  There is a shared on-call rota with the Maintenance Supervisor to cover out of hours maintenance requirements.

Experience of delivering mechanical, electrical, building fabric and grounds maintenance services would be advantageous although full training will be provided.  Experience of working in a hospital or similar clinical environment is desirable but not essential.
