Think you’ve seen every view of Rye? Think again!

Stuart Cooper from Clear Air Flying in Winchelsea has recorded a unique snapshot of our town using his drones. On Sunday evening June 2 he filmed the sunset over Rye from high above The Mermaid Inn and created this stunning panorama.

Click on the picture below and zoom in and out for a close up view of Rye. It’s even better when you make it full screen by clicking on the box in the top right corner.

The images will be used on The Mermaid’s new website. Stuart Cooper says it was a commission that shows just how beautiful the town is, and so green. “From the ground you don’t realize just how much greenery there is in the town centre. I love how the sunset colours the buildings and how I’ve managed to capture beyond Rye to Winchelsea and Camber Castle.”
