Rye College has confirmed its new intake of students in September will be the biggest in years. A waiting list for new pupils is now in place.

150 children were allocated to the college on Monday, March 3 – national offers day. This is the day that marks the moment when families are informed about the secondary school details for their children with schools also receiving the list of their incoming Year seven students.

It means Rye College has reached its 150 pupil admission number for the first time in several years.

Head teacher Dom Downes says the news is an important milestone. “This is an important validation of our work and a huge vote of confidence from our community. Our focus and efforts are steadfast on delivering on that confidence by creating bright futures for all. Thank you all to all the team for creating a school that more and more families want their children to be educated in.”
