Rye watchers may have noticed in a Landgate estate agent’s window that Barclays Bank in the High Street has been sold writes Kenneth Bird. Nick Forman of Foxwood Maclean said that the asking price had been offered almost immediately the building came to market, to be held by the unnamed purchaser as an investment opportunity.

The property is currently let to Barclays Bank plc on a 20 year lease from January 12, 2007 at an annual rent of £22,200.
