As the lockdown relaxes (to some extent) those who can are getting back into business – providing social distancing is possible – and that includes Bodiam Boating Station on the River Rother between Northiam and Newenden.
Boats can be hired but they must be pre-booked and you need to arrive 20 minutes early and get yourself in and out of the boats. All equipment is sterilised after use. Social distancing will be your responsibility so steering skills will be useful. But river cruises are closed until further notice.
You can also get takeaway food but you cannot eat in the restaurant or garden for the time being, but you can eat in your car if parked by the (closed) campsite.
