Following the article in Rye News on January 20, I happened to be walking up the Grove, and saw the abandoned vehicle with its police aware notice.
Deciding to do something about it, I went onto the Fix my Street website and sure enough there was a category for abandoned vehicles. It was an easy matter to fill in location details, with a copy of the Rye News article and then confirm agreement to have my report sent to ESCC, the appropriate highway authority.
Whether in response to the report or by coincidence for which no credit is claimed, a breakdown vehicle arrived a few days later to remove the vehicle.
