 Call for recipes

St Michael’s Hospice is looking for recipes to feature in its 30th Anniversary recipe book, which will be sold across Hastings and Rother throughout 2017 to celebrate its 30th birthday.

Any recipe is welcome to be submitted for consideration and where possible a photo and fond memories that may be associated with the recipe would be gratefully received.

If you would like to share your favourite recipe, please send it to marketing@stmichaelshospice.com. If your recipe is handwritten, a scan or clear photograph of the recipe will be perfect.

Lights of Love

Every year in December the Lights of Love service from St Michael’s Hospice offers the opportunity to remember a loved one by dedicating a star or heart on a Christmas tree. The trees will be in nine locations across the St Michael’s Hospice catchment area in Battle, Bexhill-on-Sea, Hastings Crematorium, Hastings Old Town, Ninfield, Rye, Winchelsea and at the Hospice itself in St Leonards on Sea. This year the Hospice is pleased to announce that there is also a new service taking place in Little Common.

Whether your loved one received the care of St Michael’s Hospice or not, local or further afield, all can be remembered with Lights of Love. Each star or heart will be placed next to a light on a tree at the location of your choice and the stars remain on the trees until New Year’s Eve.
Services at each location will take place on Sunday, December 4 at 3pm, with tree lighting ceremonies at 4pm. Additionally there will be a non-religious service at the Hospice in St Leonards on Sea on Wednesday, December 7 at 6pm.

All trees are generously and kindly donated by Little Down Farm in Westfield.

To receive a Lights of Love pack in the post please call Hospice Reception, on 01424 456377, or email lightsoflove@stmichaelshospice.com with your name and postal address. You can also pick up a pack at any of the St Michael’s Hospice shops or the Hospice reception.
