Rye’s recycle swap shop is back on Saturday, February 11 at St Mary’s Centre in Lion Street, next to the Kino, from 9:30am to 11:30am.

The organisers say: “As it’s been a long time since the last swap shop we’re aware some people might have accumulated a lot of stuff to give away. We don’t want you to bring too much though as any leftovers will end up going to recycling or landfill.

“Please limit yourself to bringing as much as you can carry in one go, and focus on stuff you think people are really likely to want to take away. So no used underwear or dirty crockery please ! (Yes, we really do get this…)

“If you have stuff to bring you need to come before 10:30am please. You can browse and take stuff away any time from 9:30am to 11:30am. Remember, you do NOT need to bring stuff. We’re very happy for people to come and just take stuff away – in fact we need people to do this, or there’s too much left over at the end.

“More details are available on a website which gives good guidance, especially if you’ve not been before: https://www.transitionrye.org.uk/recycle-swap-shop-returns-to-rye-on-sat-11-feb-2023/
