Remembering that it’s the MarshLink Action Group’s annual general meeting this Friday, June 6, I decided to take a few trips between Ashford and Hastings and speak to some travellers to ask their view about our railway and what question they would ask those who operate and maintain the railway.
But do remember you have the opportunity to speak directly to those who matter on these subject, Southern Railway (who operate the trains on the line) and Network Rail (who construct and maintain the line). So do come to the MLAG AGM in the Tudor Room at the Mermaid Inn, Rye from 6:30pm this Friday, June 6. You have the opportunity to ask questions so take that opportunity. Note that the main proceedings will start at 7pm so if you’re travelling into Rye by train you should arrive at 6:47pm and hopefully be able to get to the start of the meeting.
So, what concerns and questions did my fellow train-travellers raise ? Well, we’d rather hear your concerns and questions directly from you at the meeting. But matters raised with me directly on my travels will be included in the issues discussed with Southern Railway and Network Rail at the meetings your MLAG committee hold with them throughout the year.
