After many years of neglect and procrastination by Rother District Council, the Landgate is finally going to receive some care and attention.
The contractor is due to commence works next Monday, October 15 and completion of this initial phase of refurbishment is expected by November 9. No road closures are required.

It is such an iconic landmark for Rye and the Southeast. And, as an American who lived in Rye for a spell and on Landgate, going through its portal, was always thrill.
Great news. Rother has finally got this one right.
And no road closures great news for local businesses.
