Country Market – come back!

Is anyone else really missing our weekly Country Market? Not only am I deprived of my regular fix of delicious home made cakes, multi-coloured tomatoes, tangy marmalade and chutney, fresh free range eggs, curry and bedsocks, but I am also resenting paying inflated prices for inferior flowers. The flower and plant stall on a Friday is rightly one of the most popular as people rush over to snap up the beautiful bouquets at extremely reasonable prices – unlike those photographed above in a well known national chain.

Roll on spring (usually late March) when fresh food and flowers are again available locally and the market reopens  after its winter break.
