Rye Community Charity Shop would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support. The shop at 7 Cinque Ports Street, which is run solely by volunteers, has had an extremely successful 18 months. It has raised funds to support the ARRCC day care centre and made funds available for community groups and local charities. The aim has always been to support local groups and the shop has been able to help The Ferry Road Playgroup, Winchelsea Beach Older Peoples Group, Tilling Green Community Friends, the Arts and Crafts Group, and the Rye Scouts Group. The funding panel are looking forward to offering another funding opportunity in December to enable more community groups to benefit (application forms are available from the shop: deadline, December 31).

We pride ourselves in being the only local, old-fashioned “charity” shop and donations are always gratefully received. Please call in and see us, where you will find a warm welcome and maybe find a bargain!

Jackie, Lorna, Jeff and all the team.
