The students of Dynasty Reign Allstars (DRA) – many from Rye – are stunning and keep winning competitions for cheerleading. It was a clean sweep at Cheer City Summer Games on May 16-17 at Hertfordshire Sports Village.
Allstars had eight teams performing and achieved seven ZERO runs. These incredible scores were right across the board and the parents and coaches could not have been prouder of every single athlete. The hard work, dedication and passion showed on every floor this weekend and the results speak for themselves.
Ashleigh Rowe, the owner of DRA, commented, “DRA was built from passion, determination and a genuine love for the sport. There have been so many highs along the way — winning national titles, receiving bids to international competitions and most recently achieving World Championship success — but behind every achievement are years of hard work, sacrifices, setbacks and resilience that many people don’t always see. Seeing the athletes walk onto the world stage representing not only DRA but also our local area was an emotional moment that summed up years of dedication from athletes, coaches and families alike. To know that children from East Sussex can dream big and achieve on an international level is something truly special.”
She explained what makes DRA unique, “It’s the sense of family. The support between athletes, parents and coaches is incredible, and I think that’s why so many people feel at home here. We celebrate together, support each other through the hard times and continue to grow together season after season. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey so far and excited for what the future holds for Dynasty Reign Allstars which will soon be opening try-outs for our 2026/27 season. We are always excited to welcome new athletes to the DRA family.”
Two junior coaches have been explaining why they enjoy cheerleading.
Fifteen year old Lacie said, “Over the past two seasons junior coaching at Dynasty Reign Allstars, I’ve watched shy smiles turn into confident voices. What stands out most is the growth in character. Watching confidence blossom alongside developing skills has been the most rewarding achievement of all.”
Rose who is fourteen commented, “I am a proud junior coach at Dynasty Reign Allstars, working with two teams. I love helping the Prep and Novice athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and achieve amazing results. Dynasty Reign Allstars is more than just a team to me — it feels like a family, full of supportive teammates like sisters who always encourage one another to do their best.”
Parent Hannah said her daughter Ara’s confidence had grown since joining DRA at the age of seven. “Ara has always been quite shy and reserved, but almost instantly her confidence began to grow quietly, and she seemed to be learning new skills every single week. What started as a hobby quickly became a true passion. By the age of nine, Ara was competing at the Allstar World Championship in Florida, and this year she’ll be competing in Barcelona. I was initially worried that she might feel out of place going to Florida, especially being newer to DRA, as well as one of the youngest and quietest on the team. However, Ara was determined to go because she felt so safe, supported, and secure with her coaches and teammates. She had the time of her life, and as a family we made memories we will never forget. Her teammates constantly lift her up – literally – and the trust and support they all have for one another is truly wonderful to see. I say this a lot, but I am so incredibly grateful for the wonderful childhood DRA is giving Ara.”
