Rye & Winchelsea Rotary Club’s annual charity walk will be on Sunday May 24, writes Derick Holman. This year it will be an invigorating springtime walk around the meadows and wetlands surrounding Camber Castle and the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. After a long winter this is a chance for young and old to get those muscles moving and raise money for charity. You will also be able to take part in a treasure hunt and a visit to the courtyard of the Tudor castle itself – a must for all Wolf Hall fans! This annual amble has even more to offer those who love the great outdoors and the support of good causes. To participate in this worthwhile event, register with Rye Rotary either at ryerotary@hotmail.co.uk  or telephone 07530 772000 for full details of how to sponsor your favourite charity and also contribute to local good causes. Entry forms are also available from Phillips & Stubbs, 47 Cinque Ports Street. [Photo: Derick Holman]
