Hello Herbie, the station’s Atlantic 85 was launched and the crew soon made contact with the casualty vessel and a tow was established. The lifeboat towed the cruiser up the river Rother safely to its mooring. The two people on board were very grateful that the RNLI arrived so swiftly and secured their boat to the lifeboat and took them to safety.

The sea is a challenging environment and things change so quickly. If you get into trouble on the water, ring 999 and request the coastguard.
