Join the Rotary Club of Rye and Winchelsea in a community walk on Sunday September 6   between Rye and Winchelsea which takes in part of the 1066 Country Walk, passing beneath Cadborough Cliff, continuing along Float Lane, and then towards Winchelsea Station Road and back along the footpath to Rye.

After the long lockdown why not get out and about and stretch those legs? The walk is approximately eight miles with an option to turn back early at about four miles – so help keep your body and mind fit. it is also an opportunity to raise money for charity, too, by taking part as an individual, or as part of a team or family group, or just tagging along with other walkers.

Entry is by donation of £10 (adults) and £5 (11 to 17yrs) with under 11’s free, payable on the day. If you’re also raising money by sponsorship this year, then 100% of the sponsorship raised will go to your chosen charity. Just ask your sponsors to fill out one of our sponsorship forms.

All of the donations will go to deserving local charities such as the Rye Food Bank, Rye Community Transport, Rother Responders, Care for the Carers and Age Concern (Rye) to name just a few. Email us at ryerotary@gmx.com for entry or sponsorship forms.

You can start walking at any time from 9am to 11am on Sunday 6 September, starting from Channon’s Country Store, Rye Cattle Market, Rye, TN31 7AN.
