It is signing on night at Rye Cricket Club for the junior section on Friday, April 26 from 7pm onwards. The junior section has been one of the drivers for the growth of the club and its achievement in competing near the peak of cricket of the largest cricket league in the world, the Sussex Cricket League. On most Saturdays over 80% of the players are former junior members.
The club offers a softball option and a hardball option.
Softball: Friday nights starting on May 17 – July 5 the club offers All Stars for ages 7 – 9 at 6pm – 7pm / Cricket Dynamos ages 10 – 12 at 7pm – 8pm. The cost is £30 and includes a club shirt. A real fun introduction to the game of cricket.
Hardball: The club runs four junior teams. under 16s / under 13s and 2 x under 11s. Practice night starts on Tuesday, April 30 6pm – 8pm for U11s / U13s and on Wednesday nights for U16s. Matches start in the week commencing May 13. The cost is £70 which covers all matches and 12 weeks of practice and a club shirt.
For new members we offer a two-week introduction before paying the membership fee.
