Last Saturday, March 5, Rye Bonfire Society held its Dinner at the Ypres Castle Inn and this Wednesday, March 9, its AGM was held in the Queens Head.
Presentations were made prior to the AGM to 14 groups and local good causes from the pot of £5K that the society had to hand.
The groups and causes were Rye’s Cubs, Scouts, Brownies, Guides, the Community Centre, Rye Community Transport, the Wurlitzer, Mariners, ARRCC, Kent Sussex Air Ambulance, Peasmarsh Rec Playspace, Flip Flops Pre School Playgroup at Camber, Acting Up in Rye and Christmas in Rye.
