Sussex Wildlife Trust has been assessing the Covid-19 situation daily and is constantly reviewing all planned events, taking sensible steps to protect the health and safety of staff, volunteers and members of the public.

In light of the updated government advice regarding Covid-19 , all Sussex Wildlife Trust events in March are cancelled, including those at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. This includes public and members events as well as volunteer work parties and school visits. Sussex Wildlife Trust will be reviewing this regularly as the situation develops.

Our nature reserves will remain open, although the information cabins at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve are shut for the time being.

With many staff now working from home, we may take slightly longer to reply to enquiries, so we appreciate your patience. It would also help if you can email rather than telephone, if you need to get in touch.

We are thinking of everyone, including our wonderful supporters, at this time and hope everyone stays safe.

Also, we recognise how important nature is for our wellbeing, and plan to send out regular updates for things people can do from home, or in their garden. We also encourage everyone to follow Sussex Wildlife Trust and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as we will be sharing the sights and sounds of spring in Sussex. Please share with us too. We’d love to hear from you.
