Rye Cricket Club is one of the most successful cricket clubs in Sussex and this success has been built on developing young local talent.

And the club has successfully applied for funds to support the development of cricket for boys and girls aged 5-13 with a big thank you for the support from Rother Active, the Rye Fund and the Ted Baker Trust.

The funds will be used to offer the following sessions:

January 16 / 23 / 30, 5pm – 6pm at Rye Sports Centre free taster sessions
February 20 – April 23, 5pm – 6pm at Rye Sports Centre – cost is £30 for the 10 weeks.
Easter holidays – 2 day cricket camp at Rye Sports Centre – date TBC
May 15 – July 24 – 6pm – 7pm at Rye Cricket Salts – cost is £35 for the 11 weeks

There will also be games of cricket on Monday evenings for the Under 11s and on Thursdays for Under 13s.

The funds will enable Rye Cricket Club to:

  • Broaden its offer to young people aged 5-13, by offering more opportunities for young people to discover the fun of playing cricket.
  • Provide an opportunity to offer financial assistance with the costs of playing cricket. Please contact us for details of the eligibility.

To get more information, or to sign your son/daughter to get involved with the programme, by joining the free taster sessions, contact Martin Blincow on blincsfamily@aol.com or ring on 07535 482006.
