This Christmas time has seen some fabulous singing around the community by the Music Well’s singing clubs. The children and adults joined together on Sunday 10 December for a fabulous concert at the Rye Creative Centre, featuring many Christmas songs and carols, with the showstopper number “Carol of the bells”, the beautiful Ukraine Christmas Carol, sung by both singing clubs to a very special backing track composed for the Music Well by a local composer, Nick Ingman. The audience were treated to a wonderful concert, followed by delicious cakes!

The adult group sang to a community lunch group at the Rye Hub and also visited St Bartholomew’s to sing to residents there, and were greatly enjoyed.

The children visited Peasmarsh Place to sing to the residents and performed a range of Christmas songs and carols which the residents loved very much.

On Saturday 16 December, the children entertained shoppers and staff at Jempsons store in Peasmarsh, raising just over £200 for The Music Well.

What a fabulous Christmas time for our local community, thank you to everyone, for your support. Donations for the wonderful therapeutic work and musical activities of The Music Well CIC can be made through PayPal on the website www.themusicwell.org.uk

Thank you very much and we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful and healthy 2024
