At the recent extraordinary general meeting of the Romney Marsh Ploughing and Cultivations Society, some new faces took up the challenge of ploughing a new furrow.

Ben Ashdown was elected chairman, and Diana Wimble took on the role of Secretary. Alan Higgs remains as Treasurer.

One of the tasks facing the new committee will be the annual Ploughing Match and Fun Dog Show. Always a popular event with the public, it was decided that this year’s event will take place as near normal as possible – Covid-19 guidelines permitting.
