Home secretary Amber Rudd, in her capacity as local MP, and Liz Pendennis of Christmas in Rye, will be guest speakers at a new professional business forum for Rye and the surrounding area on Friday, February 17 at the Mermaid Inn from 5:30pm, running from 6 to 7pm.

The organisers state that the forum aims to give a formal, positive, solutions-focused voice to local businesses, so that your message gets to those who need to hear it. Meetings, which are free to attend and open to anyone who runs a business in the Rye area, or is self employed, will be held every two months, with the opportunity for informal networking after the main meeting.

For further information, or if you plan to attend, please contact ryeareabusinessforum@gmail.com

[Editor’s note: This new organisation is unrelated to the the Hastings & Rye Conservative Women’s Association also being launched this month]
