St Michael’s Hospice celebrates its 30th anniversary from February 6-12 with its annual Yellow Week and it has been asking friends, families, nurseries, schools, colleges and businesses throughout Hastings and Rother to help raise money or sponsorship in any ways they can.

The Hospice is also encouraging supporters to raise £30 each “to celebrate the 30 years the Hospice has provided specialist palliative care to the residents of Hastings and Rother”. St Michael’s has a shop in Rye’s Cinque Ports Street (pictured above).

“Whether it’s a mufti day, a yellow cake sale, yellow karaoke, a yellow party, or even a banana eating competition, there are plenty of ways for everyone to get involved and raise money or sponsorship.” said Laura Sully, Community Fundraiser at St Michael’s Hospice.

“Every year we support more than 1,300 patients, their families and friends as well as bereaved people throughout the Hastings and Rother area. We have to fundraise over £10,000 every day at the Hospice, so every donation however large or small is vital.”
